Our Story
Settle Pet started with a training class in Houston, Texas.
When my dog was a year old, I enrolled her in group training at a local PetSmart. She’s a doodle, born high-energy, always moving, and at that age, almost impossible to calm down. The very first thing the class taught wasn’t sit or stay. It was “settle.”
The trainer had all of us bring a dog bed to class. The reason was simple: give a dog a bed, and they settle almost instantly. A dog has to settle first, has to feel calm and safe, before they can do anything else well. So every class began the same way. Bed down, dog on the bed, settle. Then the real work could start.
It changed everything for me. Soon I was bringing a small bed everywhere, dinner on a patio, a friend’s house, anywhere new. The moment the bed came out, my dog knew: this is my spot, I can relax here. The bed and that calm, settled feeling became one and the same.
But when I went looking for the right bed, I couldn’t find one. Not in the big pet stores, not online. Nothing that felt warm enough to belong in a home, was made with materials I’d actually trust, and was built well enough to last ten years and more. So we made one.
That’s where the name comes from, and it’s why we started Settle Pet: to make one truly great bed that helps a dog relax, feel safe, and settle in, while giving their body the support it needs.

Why it matters so much
Dogs sleep around 14 hours a day, puppies, even more. That means most of a dog’s life is spent resting. And dogs are sensitive creatures; a calm mind and good, deep sleep aren’t luxuries for them, they’re the foundation of a healthy, longer life.
If you’ve ever done the math on how few years we get with them, you know exactly why we care about this. As dog owners, we really only want one thing: for our dogs to live healthy, and to live long. A great place to rest is one of the simplest ways to help make that happen.

How we build it
When a dog lies on their side, their back and hips curve into a rounded shape. We designed our bed so that curve is always supported, no matter how they lie, the raised bolster edge meets their back and hips, giving them something solid to lean into and a real sense of security.
Inside, we use the same memory foam and upholstery grade materials found in human mattresses and sofas, because your dog deserves the same quality you’d want for yourself.
A well rested dog is a happier, healthier companion. When your dog truly settles in, your whole home feels more complete.
